Cambridge succumbed to a last min try to lose by 41-36 in last match of season. In a wind strewn game Sedgley Park scored 6 tries to Cambridge's 5 with Steve Hipwell getting hat trick, Mike Ayrton and Albert Portsmouth 1 try each. Conversions by Elliot Bale and Adam White.

Mention must be made that the ref played 52 mins in 2nd half which must be something of a record. The last try was very much against run of play as a draw would have been a fitting result to the end of the season.
