Under 10s

Welcome to the Under 10s section of Cambridge Rugby Club, this is mini rugby with full contact; contested scrums, lineouts, tackling, rucking and mauling. The U10s play in friendlies and festival competitions around the region, with the intention of encouraging boys & girls from all backgrounds, to enjoy an active outdoor sport with the emphasis being on safety, fun, sportsmanship and the development of skills.

The U10 game is played with nine players, three forwards, a scrum half and five backs. At this level we introduce contested scrummaging and lineouts, although a scrum may not be pushed or pulled more than 1.5 metres towards either try line, or rotated more than 45 degrees for safety reasons.

Training is at the Club every Sunday 09.30am to 11.00am throughout the season, when there are no matches.
