Cambridge RUFC adds more championship experience to its squad

We extend a warm welcome to scrum half Rhodri Adamson who joins us from Richmond RFC. His playing CV includes appearances for England Students, England Counties, Newcastle Falcons and Jamaica 7’s. Rhodri will be competing for the scrum half shirt this season but is equally at home at 15 and 10. An exceptional goal kicker and manager of the game, Rhodri will look to reignite the team’s attack next season. Rhodri is another graduate of the England Counties U20 program where he featured in the same team as Cambridge RUFC players, Ben Penfold, Kwaku Asiedu and Jack Culverhouse.

Richie Williams is pleased to work with Rhodri again; “I am delighted to have Rhodri on board and believe that his temperament will lend itself wonderfully to Cambridge RUFC. By his own admission, he has had a slightly frustrating season at Richmond, but we are confident that he will flourish next season.”

Rhodri Adamson; “Cambridge are a club well known in National 1 for their attacking flair and I’m excited to link up with Richie again ahead of the 2019/20 campaign. The club had a difficult season last year so I am looking forward to jumping in alongside the group of core players they’ve retained and help push the squad on towards the top half of the table. It will obviously be nice to play alongside some old friends in National League rugby again too.”
